The graphics for FUT 16 obviously takes a realistic approach

Thankfully none of this madness seems to have impacted EA’s FIFA 16. It should come as no surprise to fans of the series that this latest rendition continues to expand and improve on an already robust footballing experience. It brings the flair and excitement of the beautiful game to life, while retaining the realism and depth that football fans demand. The AI in FIFA 16 seems to be a lot more conservative all around, and you’ll find that computer controlled defenders will now identify gaps and mark a little bit tighter than before.

They’ll try and shut down channels and there is less space to exploit down the wings (a technique that was far too easy to convert from in FIFA 15). “Play Beautiful” is the motto for “FIFA 16." That is exactly what it is - beautiful. This past week I received a review copy of EA Sports' “FIFA 16” Deluxe Edition on the PS4. It is the best “FIFA” game that I have ever played. EA has finally released its latest soccer game, FIFA 16 Ultimate Team, to the Google Play Store. The game also has a few clips that feel like TV broadcast of the game (this happens mainly during half-time and when flags are received).

First announced a few months ago, the new title aims to bring a console-like experience to mobile devices, yeah,it features a all new fifa engine which makes the android game look more like, a console game, I'll say it looks more like fifa 14 (my opinion). You earn coins for goals scored, corner kicks, percent possession game, shots on goal, clean sheets, man of the match winner, successfully addresses and pass accuracy rate. But offsides, goals against, fouls and cards also cause the reduction of the coins. The graphics for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team obviously takes a realistic approach. The character models are well rendered and appear moderately lifelike.

I can't say whether or not they look like the players they are based off of since I have no idea who they are, but they look nice nonetheless. The character animation for running, tackles, and shooting also is smooth. I didn't experience any awkward bits or choppy framerates. They're not easy skills to master, but you can get to grips with these new additions by clicking on the FIFA Trainer, which gives players commands for the more advanced moves using an increasing scale from 1 to 6.

Those gamers who picked up FIFA 15 will struggle to find many major enhancements though. No-touch dribbling was the most hyped of the gameplay tweaks and has been somewhat well received by the community. I struggle to see it as a groundbreaking improvement though and would utilize it extremely infrequently. There are only twelve international sides to choose from, with a Cup mode available alongside exhibition matches. It’s a good start and I’m sure as the years go by we’ll begin to see club competitions, such as the Women’s Super League in England.

With that note of excitement hanging in the air, allow me a moment of clarity. FIFA is a tough game to review. It's an aggregation of several years’ worth of features and modes, all of which are changed and updated to varying degrees with each iteration. Anyone who’s played FIFA, or PES, or any sports game will know, it’s impossible to really know how you feel about that game until you’ve played it for months; Loved it, hated it, loved it again, and then decided it’s, you know, alright for a game you’ve played for 300 hours.
