FIFA has had its ups and downs. FIFA’s new improvement is its change in players’ emotional reactions to plays. Players now react within the context of the game and have over 600 reactions. Strategy has also been changed in FIFA. Altering formation and tactics has become more customizable in 15, making knowledge of the game more important.
EA managed to whip up quite frenzy of anger earlier this week when they introduced changes to how the transfer system works in that mode of player. Previously, players could be listed at any price.
Clearly taking into account real life players diva like attitudes and demands, managing your squad isn't as straightforward as putting the right player in the right position. You’ll need to stroke some egos and help each player reach their life goals.
Classic Mode makes a triumphant return, slimming the experience down to a streamline game for those that simply want to sign up stars, make a few decisions and bring their team to victory without all the superfluous meetings, settings and decisions.
Goalkeepers have also been entirely rewritten. Their reactions are more lifelike and they can better predict shots. Not only is their play better, but so are their aesthetics. In older FIFAs keepers would catch and pass every ball they touched. Now real deflections and tipped balls off of keepers’ hands are programed into the game.
Aside from these newly included teams, there are also upgrades for the teams' stability for match day functions, as well as for online seasons and pro clubs. The, a 'compare price' function was also included in these patches where users can FIFA Ultimate team players can have an improved system for comparing consumables.
The update is already out on PC, because I’ve played a friendly game with the new teams (and took that image above.) As well as adding the new teams, EA says the patch will improve stability in certain areas of the game.
EA’s stated aims with this change are as follows: “Help FUT gamers understand the value of the players in their Club,” “Make high-rated players more attainable for all FUT gamers and ensure a level playing field” and “Further restrict illegitimate coin transfers on the Transfer Market.”
