FIFA 17 story mode touches several aspects of his real life

For example, if you stumped up for a blue (inform) Dele Alli last season, while he may have better baseline stats than his regular Alli card, his skill ceiling would have turned out lower due to him not getting the correct Chemistry boost. A description of the problem earlier this month stated "there appear to be some differences in how fitness and chemistry apply to some FUT items." Yesterday's post simply says "this update addresses inconsistencies in chemistry and fitness on some FUT items."

Exactly what was changed wasn't mentioned, but EA says it "will be sharing information on some of the deeper mechanics of Ultimate Team as we move towards the launch of FIFA 17. When it comes to EA Sports’ upcoming game, Manchester United player Marcus Rashford feels that the FIFA 17 story mode touches several aspects of his real life. The man who transformed himself from an unknown football lover to England team’s striker says that the upcoming football game highlights some parts of his real life in the form of the fictional character named Alex Hunter.

Rashford told EA Sports that the journey of Alex reminds him of his own days of struggle and how he developed himself to the sport. The game developer revealed a sneak peek of the story mode in FIFA 17. With the launch of FIFA 17 nearing, all eyes turn to the next game in the series, which will no doubt be picked apart by the FUT community to see if the chemistry glitch makes it through.

The FIFA 17 story mode is dubbed “The Journey,” and it showcases Alex Hunter getting a big break in professional football, making his way to Premier League. This had to do with chemistry, but fitness was affected, too. In FUT, by playing cards in particular positions you can increase your chemistry stats. High chemistry can boost the stats of players. A low chemistry can nerf them. Chemistry is important for FUT because it can give you the edge in a match.

FUT players discovered that the most expensive cards in the game did not attribute this chemistry-related stat boost properly, and as a result players felt sluggish in comparison to cheaper cards that did attribute the chemistry stat boost properly. I actually can’t believe how accurate it is, watching Alex, it reminds me of my journey. It definitely reminds me of my experience; when you see Alex go into the manager’s office, you don’t know what he’s going to say or what it’s going to be like, so it brings back memories,” said Rashford to EA Sports.

It's an infuriating glitch for long standing Ultimate Team players, but one that could be on its way to being fixed. A summary: users reckon they've proved FUT includes handicapping - that is, teams comprised of highly-rated players feel sluggish. They reckon FIFA has been buffing low rated teams and nerfing highly rated teams without telling players. Now for the detail: this has to do with chemistry. In FUT, by playing cards in particular positions you can increase your chemistry stats. High chemistry can boost the stats of players. A low chemistry can nerf them. Chemistry is important for FUT because it can give you the edge in a match. Theoretically, anyway.
